Two class DV12 1960's diesels found in Pori on summer holiday trip in Finland. The second one has fresh VR red/gray paintwork done recently.

FI Sr1 3107
Another rare beast of it's kind, although quite common in Finland: Class Sr1 number 3107 sitting at the passenger station in the city of Pori. These locomotives were acquired in 1970's and are rough Russian technology, so they are quite capable of handling work at extremely low temperatures.

Welcome to the web pages of the Finnish Alpine Railroad Enthusiasts. The Alpine Railway is the largest Finnish modular show layout. Our theme originates mainly from the Alpine countries: Switzerland, Gemany, Austria, France and Italy.

Our layout can be seen yearly in a number of railroad and hobby themed shows.  Alpine Railway is not a club, but instead a group of 20 - 30 people who share the same interesting hobby.

Some more information will follow frequently. Welcome again!
