 SJ Green Cargo Re

Swedish Green Cargo (part of the state operator SJ) will receive 16 new Bombardier secaond generation Traxx locomotives. These will be classified as Re, following the standard classification system of SJ, letter e being the next available. Two first locomotives are in the country already and thest have gone smoothly even in the extreme weather of the 2010 winter. The rest are being delivered till summer 2010. The class Re enables Green Cargo to pull trains through to the Central Europe, a great lack in todays motive power. Also, the traxx locomotives allow SJGC to modernize its very much aging fleet. The RTS locomotive in the picture is of similar type to the class Re, the Swedish locomotives will be painted attractive green and black scheme of SJGC.
