Welcome to 4rail.net Mosaic pages!

Many of us like browsing subjects around railroading randomly, so since the rest of the 4rail.net is arranged quite strictly around themes, these pages will be more or less flowing with the thought, still preserving the red line. A lot of pictures will accompany, but maybe not as large as the Visions series pictures. The XL sized pictures will still be found by clicking any picture here.

For the moment pages are looking for alternatives of arranging the materials and will be developed phase by phase forward.

The Swedish and Norwegian North has one of a kind railway: the Malmbana. This railway transports raw iron from the Swedish northern mines to Narvik, Norway to be shipped around the world.

In the pictures one of the typical super heavy ore train is pulled by the operator MTAB IORE (Iron ORE) locomotives. The train has just reached Straumnes on the Norwegian mountains and is letting the earth gravity to create regenerated electricity by IORE electric motors.
