Helsinki City Traffic by HKL

HKL organizes traffic services and runs metro and trams for the HSL, the buyer for the Helsinki metropolitan area traffic. Earlier the organization was also the buyer, but this function was transferred to newly formed HSL / HRT in 2010.

In 2010 HKL transported in trams and metros aroun 113 million people. The numbers will grow significantly with the expansion of tram and metro lines in the coming years. Currently there is 92 kimometers of tram network and 21 km of metro line.

Finnish railroad organizations and railroad operators have their own pages, as well as the largest operator VR-Yhtyma and a newcomer to the field Junakalusto.
