Two Trains Race Out of
Barstow ![]() See the BNSF and Union Pacific stack trains race out of Barstow! In this video we see BNSF's Q LHALPC1, one of their 10,000' trains, departing eastbound out of Barstow, CA, running in a 4x2 configuration. Catching me by surprise is UP's KLAG1 which was hiding behind the BNSF train on the approach. The KLAG1 was running in a 2x2 config. The BNSF train was departing off the 30mph Main 4 and is thusly being overtaken by the UP train which sailed through town on the 50mph Main 3. Although where this video was shot, the trains were on mains 2 and 1 respectively.
